Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop
Katie Judge is an incoming senior at The Hartt School/University of Hartford studying to receive a BFA in dance pedagogy and performance. She began dancing at Dance Workshop of Hanover in Hanover, Massachusetts at three years old. While growing up, she received extensive training in ballet, pointe, contemporary, jazz, and tap. Eventually, Katie became a faculty member at her studio. Since arriving at The Hartt School, she has had the opportunity to perform new and restaged works by prominent choreographers such as José Limon, George Balanchine, Norbert de la Cruz III, Lucy Bowen McCauley, Debra Collins Ryder, and Katie Stevinson-Nollet. Katie has also had the opportunity to train at several prestigious intensive programs around the country, including the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. In addition to performing, Katie has expanded her passion for teaching dance through internships with The Hartt School Community Division and The University of Hartford Magnet School. She was recently the dance director in Hartt Community Division’s “Prism Project”, a performing arts program for students with exceptionalities.
